In this video, we explore two powerful pranayamas as explained in the ancient text Hatha Yoga Pradipika — Seetkari and Sheetali — and how they help reduce body heat, control acidity, soothe mouth ulcers, calm hunger and thirst, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system. Rooted in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika (Chapter 2, Verses 54–58), these ancient techniques work by regulating internal temperature and increasing saliva production — creating a natural “air-cooler effect” inside the body. I’ll explain the science behind the practice, common benefits and contraindications, and guide you through a short practice session.
