To move, breathe, and meditate in India — the homeland of yoga’s roots — is an experience that can’t be replicated anywhere else.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
During our 2025 retreat, we practiced asana and meditation twice daily, guided by and several incredible local teachers. Being in physical connection with the birthplace of this practice infused each moment with a potency and depth that continues to reverberate through our community.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In January 2026, we return — to keep exploring, practicing, and honoring the lineage of yoga where it began.

📢 Yoga For Us: Fundamentals Series!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’re so excited to announce a 4-week foundational yoga series designed exclusively for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color led by .
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whether you’re brand new to yoga or looking to revisit the basics in a space that centers care, safety, and self-trust, this series was made for you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In Marlene’s words:
“Are you a person of color who is interested in beginning your yoga journey or would you like some support with the fundamentals of the practice?... This series isn’t about the ‘perfect’ pose, it’s about finding your personal practice, supported by community and care.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Over four Sundays, you’ll explore:
• Foundational postures + alignment
• Props to support your body
• Breathwork for nervous system regulation
• Strength and confidence in transitions
• Rest and recovery, on your own terms
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🗓 Sundays: July 13, 20, 27 & August 3 | 2–3:15PM
📍 In-person + online (with 48-hour replay)
💸 $100 for 4 sessions | 50% off for BIPOC with code: wellnessequity
We offer tiered pricing on all of our classes, memberships, and workshops because we believe in equity and community support. We don’t assume that all who identify as BIPOC require or want financial support to access yoga. For those who do, we see this as a step we can take towards providing reparations within a healthcare system that has predominantly failed communities of color.
