Recently, we celebrated several veterans' remarkable journeys of recovery — along with the advocates and community partners who stand beside them.

Our Veterans Programs proudly hosted the 11th Annual Black Tie Dinner, honoring the men and women who have completed treatment at the 43rd Street, Ed Thompson, and Women's Veterans Programs and sustained five years of continuous recovery.

The event also recognized two dedicated staff members for their extraordinary service and community partners whose ongoing support uplifts our veterans every day.

We were honored to welcome Bob Woodruff, former war journalist and co-founder of the Bob Woodruff Foundation, as our Guest Speaker, who shared heartfelt words and unwavering support for our veterans.

Stay tuned for more photos and highlights from this remarkable celebration!

Breast cancer remains the 2nd leading cause of death for women in New York State. Because of health disparities, African-American women are more likely to be diagnosed at a later stage of the disease and die. Awareness, early detection, and equitable care can make all the difference and save lives!

Samaritan Daytop Village staff, family members - and even a dog! - walked the four-mile event in solidarity with thousands of other New Yorkers raising funds for breast cancer research and programs for survivors. Today, we remember those we've lost to breast cancer and to everyone fighting to become a proud survivor.
