ADDISON RAKES

as the 2025 Coach Ronnie Smith Scholarship recipient! Addison will be continuing her education at UNC Wilmington.

Addison was a 4-year member of Ragsdale's swim team, starting as a freshman with no prior experience in competitive sports. Over the 4 years she grew within herself, the team and was dependable and consistent. Coach Smith would be so proud of Addison!

Riley competed in golf and swimming at Ragsdale! 🏌‍♀️⛳️🏊‍♂️ She plans to attend Western Carolina in the fall.

🗣Congratulations to this year's Coach Ronnie Smith Scholarship winner, ELIZABETH FISHER!! 🎉🏅Elizabeth competed on Ragsdale's swim team, teaches swimming lessons in the community and will be attending N.C. State University in the fall. 🏊‍♀️🐺 We are proud of you, Elizabeth, and wish you all the best in the years to come!

Ragsdale's Senior Awards Night will be held on Thursday, May 25th. We will be awarding the 16th Annual Coach Ronnie Smith Scholarship during the event. Looking forward to the big reveal after the program. 👨‍🎓👩‍🎓

The 15th Annual Coach Ronnie Smith Scholarship was awarded tonight at Ragsdale's Awards Night.

This year's recipient swam at Ragsdale and plans to attend Western Carolina University in the fall. 🎉🎉 A big CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Aaron Newman!!! 🎉🎉

March 22nd is Coach Smith's Birthday! Sharing some Ronnie wisdom, as it only seems right in a world that is so difficult these days:

-"You are no better than anyone else"
-"You don't have to like everyone but you can get along with everyone"
-"You can't help what color you were born"
-"If you do your best, that's all I can ask of you"

One thing Coach Smith was big on was treating everyone the same and being fair. In light of all the problems in today's world Coach Smith's wisdom is timeless and can certainly be applied even these 13.5 years later.

Happy heavenly Birthday, Ronnie! We miss you!
