Mundy Funeral Home Continues Its Tradition of Service to the Community
For more than six decades, Mundy Funeral Home has stood as a trusted presence in Fentress County—providing comfort, compassion, and care to families during life’s most difficult moments. That commitment continues stronger than ever today.
Since our founding in 1964, our mission has remained the same: to serve with dignity, grace, and a heart for the people of this community. Our family would like to think that we have done just that, and hope we have went above and beyond for each of the families we have had the honor of serving. Over the years, our family-owned business has grown to meet the needs of our neighbors, including the opening of our South Chapel on January 14, 2001, a milestone celebrated by over 300 community members and dignitaries from across the region.
In recent years, however, the majority of our services have been centralized at our main location. With only a handful of services being held annually at the South Chapel, we were recently presented with a unique opportunity to sell that property—an opportunity we’ve decided to embrace as a smart business decision for the future of our business.
We want to assure everyone that Mundy Funeral Home remains FULLY OPEN, active, and committed to the people of Fentress County and beyond. This change simply allows us to better focus our efforts and continue offering the highest level of service excellence that our community expects and deserves.
