JHS School-Based Health Center

JHS School-Based Health Center A safe, easily-accessible medical office at JPS where students can go for comprehensive, preventative, and primary health and dental care services.

We are a primary care clinic based in Jamestown High School. Any student of the high school is eligible to be enrolled, providing their parent/guardian completes a registration form. We do not take the place of your regular Doctor! We work with them to provide continual care.

National School-Based Health Center Month 🏫❤️

This month we proudly celebrate the incredible impact of School-Based Health Centers right here in Jamestown!

The Community Inclusions SBHC teams located at Washington Middle School and Jamestown High School work tirelessly every single day to support the students of Jamestown Public Schools. Their dedication helps students get the care they need without missing valuable classroom instruction — a key factor in student success and staying on the path toward graduation.

These professionals do more than provide care… they remove barriers, offer support, and make sure our kids are healthy, present, and ready to learn.

We thank the entire SBHC staff for the compassion, commitment, and difference you make in the lives of our students and families.

⭐️Attention parents of Washington Middle School and Jamestown High School students:⭐️

Cold and flu season can mean on-again, off-again symptoms that are tough to manage.

Here are some benefits of why having your child enrolled in the School-Based Health Center (SBHC) can make life MUCH easier! 😊

❤️Students can walk right into the SBHC during the school day.

❤️A team member calls you after the evaluation with an update.

❤️You’ll immediately know if your child can stay in school or needs to go home.

❤️The SBHC keeps your child’s doctor in the loop for future visits.

❤️There are no copays you will have to worry about .

❤️And if meds are needed, they’ll order the prescription so you can grab it when you pick up your child.

Less guessing. Less stress. Better care — right at school.🧒👦❤️

This month’s project at the School-Based Health Center is really handy. Students are encouraged to decorate cutouts shaped like a hand, and then the hands are posted on a bulletin board. The idea is to show diversity and that "all hands on deck" is the best way to get things done. Staff and teachers also have been having fun with this. Nice job, everybody!
