It is our mission to provide guidance, support, and advocacy to adults facing the challenges of substance use and mental health issues in our community. Our Mission
The Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County commits to radical acceptance, empowerment, and advocacy for our community members who struggle with mental health and substance use. Our Vision
The Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County envisions a time when the peer recovery model is widely relied upon as a foundation of support and advocacy to address the total needs of all individuals and their families challenged by the effects of mental health and/or substance use disorders. We will persevere in changing our local culture to one of hope, kindness, and justice, redefining and expanding the possibilities for a rich and satisfying life for people in recovery.

The cold weather months are upon us. The Mental Health Association will be conducting a hat and glove drive from Oct. 20th - Nov 20th. These donations will be for men or women. (NO CHILDREN’S ITEMS AND NO CLOTHING) Please bring your new hats and gloves down to our Jamestown location between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. We want to be able to help our participants out with basic needs to keep warm. Thank you in advance for your help.

Grief can come in many ways. You could be grieving the loss of a loved one, the loss of a relationship, or loss of physical capacity, just to name a few.
The mind and the body can react in a variety of ways to loss, and generally the more important or significant the loss, the more complications there could be.
Whatever way you have been affected by loss, the Mental Health Association in Chautauqua County can help you through the healing process.
Join us for our Grief Support Group every Tuesday at 9:45am to meet other people who best understand what you are going through.
The MHA is located at 31 Water street, Suite 7, Door 14 in the back of the Gateway Center.
