Our Employee of the Month for August 2025 was Ella Applins – Lead CNA and Shift Supervisor. Ella has been employed at Iroquois since 2016. Ella is a jack of all trades! She is our Lead CNA. In this capacity she helps orient, train, and supervise staff. She also covers as Reception, Staffing Coordinator, and Evening Shift Supervisor. She conducts CPR recertification training for our Clinical staff in her spare time! Here are some of the comments from her nomination forms:

*Ella is great with keeping our staff “in line” with compliance of dress code.

*She helps us to be a clean, uniform staff and professional.

Employee of the Month

Caleb Cuyler – July 2025

Caleb has been employed at Iroquois Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant since May 2017. Caleb is very flexible and has worked on every floor and shift at some point in time. He helps train new staff members. Caleb’s nominations came from family members and co-workers. Here are some of the comments from his forms:

The Employee of the Month for June 2025 is Conor Hennessy. Conor has been employed at Iroquois Nursing Home since March 2024 as an Occupational Therapist. Conor was nominated for his kind and caring manner with the residents and his excellent work with our Therapy Department.

WHAT A RIDE! 🚗💨🔥

From the gleaming corvettes from the Syracuse Corvette Club ✨ to the smooth sounds of the Jazzy Boys🌴and the delicious BBQ🌭, it was an afternoon to remember! ☀️

The vibes were electric, the grills were sizzling, and the music was grooving! We love seeing the community come together to celebrate cars, music, and great food! There were smiles all around! 😎❤️‍🔥

Found the Alzheimer's Association Dementia Care conference to be a remarkably enriching experience, marked by captivating speakers and interactive panel discussions. Grateful for the opportunity to engage with all attendees who visited the Iroquois table! Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter 💜

Iroquois Nursing Home May Employee of the Month: Kathy Halbritter & Honorable Mention: Elizabeth Kuol

Kathy has been employed at Iroquois Nursing Home since December 2023 in the Activity Department. She works with our residents on the dementia unit. Here are a few of the comments from her nomination forms:

*Extremely organized, team player, timely, kind to everyone, willing to push herself.

*Kathy genuinely cares about the resident’s well-being. She is a kind and calming presence for the residents.

*She makes desserts that would put a pastry chef to shame!

*She is a good and supportive co-worker.

Elizabeth has been employed at Iroquois Nursing Home since July 2023. She is a certified nursing assistant on our Unit 2 Rehabilitation unit. We felt it was important to recognize Elizabeth as her nomination was made by a resident. Here is what the resident said:

*Always helpful! Getting patients in bed, bringing meal trays in and out.

INH April Employee of the Month: Adin Memisevic

Adin has been employed at Iroquois Nursing Home since March 2024 as a part time receptionist. Here are a few of the comments from his nomination forms:

*He makes visitors feel special and important. Adin is so friendly, compassionate, professional, caring, and loving. He goes above and beyond helping to make Iroquois feel like home.

*Adin is one of the first people you see upon entering the facility. He has a way of making it feel welcoming and always greets everyone and sends them out with a smile!
