❄️Not all heroes wear capes…some carry feed buckets and straw, grab snow shovels at dawn, drive sleds down to the farm when the golf cart gives out - the list goes on and on! During this snowmageddon, our team showed up in every way that truly mattered!
The way our caretakers, farm maintenance staff, and volunteers came together to prepare for and power through the storm was nothing short of incredible. Not a beat was missed, not a pig was left uncomfortable, and every detail was handled with care, teamwork, and heart, even in the coldest, most challenging conditions.
We are endlessly grateful for the people who step up without hesitation and always put the pigs first. This farm runs on compassion, dedication, and love, and we are so lucky to have each and every one of you!!!💙

🐷 With a name like Digger, it’s no surprise he takes snow removal very seriously and joined in to help our caretakers! Team work at its finest! ❄️

❄️Uncle Nigel has a little message for all of you today…On days like this, when the Aldie toddlers are all piled together staying warm, my heart feels extra full and hopeful!
When Billy Bob, Everly, and Lizzy arrived at Ross Mill Farm, they were just tiny piglets rescued from neglect and the very real fate of being sold as feeder pigs for snakes. They were shy, skittish, and unsure of the world. So I did what any good uncle would do. I showed them that people can be kind, that cuddles are safe, and that love lives here!🤍
They’ve come such a long way! Now they’re toddlers who snooze together on lawn cushions in the biggest piggy piles, curious about everyone they meet, and always open to welcoming you in for a cuddle. These three have blossomed into affectionate little snuggle bugs who truly love people. Having a bad day? They’ll fix that!
More than anything, I want to see them take the next step into a forever home with a family who will love them as much as I do, and as much as they’ll love you! Billy Bob, Everly, and Lizzy are ready…and they’d love to keep you warm on snowy days like this!

🎉We did it!!! All thanks to the incredible generosity of our community on Giving Tuesday, we reached our goal of $6,000 for a new barn feeding station, and we truly couldn’t have done it without you!
This upgrade is a total game-changer for our pigs and our staff, improving the flow of daily care and making mealtimes safer, smoother, and more comfortable for everyone involved. Every donation, share, and word of support helped make this possible.
From all of us at Ross Mill Farm, thank you for believing in this work and for showing up in such a meaningful way!❤️
