Last week we were pleased to host the grand opening of our newly renovated dining area which now has TWO fabulous restaurants to better serve our residents - The Garden View Restaurant & York Town Grill. The ribbon cutting ceremony was accompanied by a champagne toast and special happy hour celebration.

We had another amazing meal at The Manor this week! Chef Mark delighted the residents, once again, with his elegant, upscale, and always delicious Chef's Table dining experience.

This month we started with Tableside Lobster Bisque Finished with Braised Escargot, Brunoised Root Vegetables & Fresh Snipped Chives. Next was Roasted Beet Salad Napoleon which consisted of thin sliced, roasted Red & Golden Beets layered with whipped Goat Cheese & Wildflower Honey, shaved Radicchio with an Apricot Champagne Vinaigrette. For the main course there were Slow Braised Boneless Beef Short Ribs with grilled, herb infused, Polenta, fork mashed Parsnips and an aged Spanish Sherry demi-glace. Then, for dessert, we ended the evening with Strawberry Romanoff.

Yesterday, the snow was coming down outside, but the Manor was warm and inviting inside. We hosted an impromptu sing along with resident pianist, Trudy and the Manor singers. We sipped hot chocolate and sang familiar songs we all know ending with a rousing rendition of God Bless America.
