Happy 4th of July 🎇 This morning Dr. Delaney and friends ran a 5k while repping Family Chiro! Dr. Grant and his wife Ally had a booth at the end of the race to help runners recover!

Today’s Date, July 2nd, at Noon is the exact half way point through 2025.

Yesterday we were closer to 2000 and tomorrow 2050 will be closer than the year 2000.

Tips for a More Ergonomic Work Space 🖥️

For some people their job involves sitting for most of the day, especially if you have an office job. As the years go on, you begin to realize how many hours you are truly sitting at your desk and how certain habits can impact your health. So, here are some tips to improve spinal health in the workplace:

🖊️ Computer screen at eye level for a neutral cervical spine
🖊️ Lumbar support on your chair
🖊️ Sit to stand desk for less pressure on your discs and the ability to change positions
🖊️ Walking pad for movement breaks
🖊️ Keyboard in a position where your shoulders can be relaxed
🖊️ Wrist support pad when typing to keep the wrists in a neutral position

MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE

Movement is so important for your physical and mental health, along with reducing your risk of chronic diseases. Regular exercise can increase longevity, improve mood and sleep quality, positively impact cardiovascular health, and increase bone density and muscle strength (crucial for mobility and proprioception). Regular physical activity has also been seen to lower your risk of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer.

It’s recommended that adults need 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity a week. This can involve walks, running, weight lifting, yoga, group classes, etc.

Movement isn’t only for improving physical health - It impacts your overall health and well being! Make sure to get up and MOVE today🏃🏽‍♀️👣
