Happy Valentine's Day!!! Especially to my Love, Forever and Always Baba. I know things are chaotic and can be frustrating right now. Together we are unstoppable and we always make great things happen. Example, those amazing girls we created.

It's been so busy. Today we are back at Froedtert for a biopsy on Tony's kidney. Everything is OK, just some numbers are off and want to rule somethings out. He has been back to work for 2 weeks now and doing good. We take 1 day at a time.

Today is also National Donors Day, Fun stuff and info on donating in the cafateria here. We are so thankful for our anonymous donor. What a blessing and hope they are doing well. We look forward to one day meeting them.

Tony's work anniversary of 26 years today too. I'm so thankful for the company we work for, their support has been so amazing through all of this.

Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out and sent cards. We are so thankful.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Happy New Year!!! We are looking forward to what 2025 will bring!!

Hey everyone, sorry I have not posted or updated. I have been so busy the holiday weekend went way to fast and didn't even make a Thanksgiving post. Which we have so much to be thankful for this year. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Giuliana and I did pretty good handling things with Tony's supervision of course.

Today we are they are using as his 1 month checkup. Hard to belive it's been 1 month this week. He gets the stent out today and hopefully will be able to start getting blood work locally after this week. That will save 6 hours of driving and be easier and less stressful for us. I feel like I'm constantly running and rushing through things to stay on top of the house, kids, Tony, work, animals, Christmas around the corner, and all of that fun grown up stuff.

Tony is feeling good, other than pressure from having an organ shoved in a place it shouldn't be, which is making things sore. But otherwise doing really well.
Thank you again for all of the support. ❤️

Day- 10 I haven't posted an update in a few days. It's been so busy. Tuesdays appointment went well other then he had to to have a catheter put back in because his bladder was not emptying all of the ways. He was not happy about this, tried leaving, 😆 The nurse had to stop because she was laughing at the jokes we were making to try and distract him. Luckily his personality has not changed at all and he laughter overcomes all. He is home and it's just been very busy with our new daily routine and making sure everything is sanitized, washed, and safe for him. The restrictions are a lot, but 100% worth it so he does not get sick or any kind of infection. Not easy with 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 teenagers. We had to go to Milwaukee again on Friday for just Labs and that was OK, He goes back Monday to get Catheter out and hopefully it gave for the bladder to heal. Today he is in good spirits and wants to get out and go for a walk. We are going to put up some Christmas stuff around the house and make Chili. 😁 Have a great Saturday!!

Day 6- Back at Froedtert for follow up and labs. This will be our 2nd home twice a week for this month. He is doing good, getting some rest in his new recliner. Our routine has been good with our morning and evening health checks, to make sure there are no signs of rejection. We can not say thank you enough for the endless support.

I want to give a huge thank you to Ashley's Furniture in Janesville. They were so amazing, Zach, Jason and everyone who helped me find what I needed, within my budget and got me out quickly, so I wouldn't be away to long. He is definitely more comfortable and catching up on sleep. We both are. I will definitely be seeing Zach again for our new couch when the time comes.

WE ARE HOME!!

Day 3 & 4 of recovery-
Yesterday (day3) was busy, yet alot of waiting. If you have ever been in the hospital for a few days, you know how long Discharge takes, on top of the anxiousness to go, your just as nervous to go. Especially with something like this. So many restriction, his immune system was completely shut off with 3 days of heavy steroids and IV anti rejection med. Yesterday was the first day starting his daily meds that he will be taking 2 to 3 for the life of this kidney. We got home last night about 5:00 and got right into our new nightly routine with some tweeks here and there. Shelby was so excited but did good with no jumping. The big adjustment for them is not being able to come upstairs. Last night was rough, Tony couldn't get comfortable and dogs cried because they couldn't sleep in our room. But we did get some better sleep then we had.
Today it's going to be organizing everything, maintaing routine with all of his health checks, meds and eating. I'm going on the hunt for a decent recliner. I think that will help and be an alternative place to sleep if needed. It's day 4 and it will get easier once he is in less and less pain. Thank you all for the unbelievable support.

Recovery Day 2 - Its been a long day and haven't had a chance to update. Tony is doing well. Minor side effects to Meds but working through it. That is going happen as dosages change. We had alot of training for after care, and walks. They think tomorrow he may be able to go home.
When he came in his function was 11%, when they put the new kidney in 25%, as creatinine comes down in went to 40%. And possibly the first time ever 53% function. I can't image how amazing he is going to feel once he is healed up. I may not be able to keep up with him lol. So proud of awesome he is doing.
