Mercyhealth is seeking healthy volunteers over the age of 40 to provide 6 vials of blood and some health information, such as name, date of birth, and family medical background. Blood samples from healthy volunteers will be compared to cancer patient volunteers in order to develop a blood test designed to detect multiple types of cancer at the earliest stage possible. After completion of the study you will be compensated for your participation.

Thanks to generous donations received by our Volunteer Services department, the cost of December Meals on Wheels meals has been fully covered for our subscribers. 💙

Mercyhealth’s Meals on Wheels program serves individuals within the City of Janesville who have limited mobility or difficulty preparing meals. Each weekday, more than 100 nutritious meals are delivered by volunteer drivers like Paul, helping neighbors stay healthy, safe and supported at home.

Our Story

Mercyhealth (formerly MercyRockford Health System) was formed in January 2015 through the merger of Mercy Health System and Rockford Health System. Today, Mercyhealth is a vertically integrated, not-for-profit multi-regional health system comprising five hospitals, a wholly-owned insurance company, more than 8,000 partner employees, 600 W2 partner physicians and over 85 primary and specialty care medical centers and clinics across more than 50 communities in 15 northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin counties. Mercyhealth provides over 75 physician specialties, including neonatal and pediatric intensive care, perinatal care, neurosurgery (brain and spine), heart and vascular care, cancer care, plastic and reconstructive surgery, trauma, orthopedics and much more.
