Congratulations to the Mercyhealth Arrhythmia Center team at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center–Janesville and Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside for completing 2,000 Carto™ Ablations! 💙

Carto ablation, also known as electroanatomic mapping, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a specialized mapping system to treat heart rhythm disorders, also known as arrhythmias.

It involves creating a 3D map of the heart's electrical activity so doctors can locate the faulty tissue causing the arrhythmia, which is then destroyed using heat or cold energy to restore a normal heart rhythm.

Our heart and cath lab teams have successfully performed their 300th TAVR procedure. A transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedure (TAVR) is a minimally invasive heart procedure to replace a narrowed aortic valve that fails to open properly.

Congratulations to Kaitlyn on receiving a Shield of Excellence Award! 💙

We're sending a huge congratulations to Kaitlyn on receiving a Shield of Excellence Award! We want to take a moment to recognize this awesome achievement.

Kaitlyn recently wowed her department with one of the most creative trainings we’ve seen, which was an imaginative Price is Right-style game show designed to teach staff about the real cost of everyday departmental items.

She cleverly recreated many of the show’s classic games using actual supplies from our department and wrapped it up with a final Showcase Showdown. Just like the real show, winning contestants spun the big wheel to get as close to $1 as possible! Staff not participating directly were invited to sit in the “audience” and cheer them on, adding to the fun and excitement.

More than just entertaining, the session delivered a lasting lesson on resource awareness and the importance of using materials thoughtfully.

Thank you, Kaitlyn, for turning such an important topic into an unforgettable training experience. We’re so grateful to have you on our team! 💙

Congratulations Chadd! 💙

Congratulations to one of our employee partners, Chadd, on receiving a Shield of Excellence Award! 🙌

Chadd was walking in the parking lot getting ready to start his day at work when he heard a strange noise near his car and found a patient unconscious on the ground. He quickly reacted without hesitation to jump in and help. He followed proper procedure and had another bystander call 911 while he provided aid to the patient. The patient was transported to the emergency room by first responders and treated. Without his quick, calm thinking, this patient may have had a different outcome.

Good job, Chadd. We are very lucky to have a partner like you to go above and beyond to help our patients and others around you! 💙
