September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about prostate cancer and generate support for those affected by the disease. Dr. Brian Stone, urologist and founder and CEO of CDS is here to discuss the risks, screening recommendations, and treatments for prostate cancer. Dr. Stone has extensive experience diagnosing and treating prostate cancer and working to eliminate disparities in prostate cancer among Black men.

According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), Black men are 70% more likely to get prostate cancer than White men. Across age ranges, black men and men with a family history of prostate cancer have an increased risk of developing and dying of prostate cancer. Be sure to speak with your doctor about screening options for prostate cancer. Early detection and improved treatments can help save lives.
