…we hear this a lot. Let’s dive in!

You say you’re eating clean… but the scale isn’t moving.

Let’s be real for a second 👇

Are you:
• Pouring olive oil all over your veggies without measuring? It’s not that olive oil is bad, but the calories and fat grams add up.
• Grabbing “just a handful” of nuts… multiple times a day? Again, the fat adds up fast.
• Ignoring the BLTs (bites, licks, and tastes) that add up quickly? These are not free calories.
• Dialed in Monday–Friday, but going all out on a “cheat day” or weekend? Your body doesn’t care what day it is.

Here’s the truth:

It’s okay to be that person at the table. 👀

You know—the one who orders steamed veggies instead of fries, asks for no sauce, gets dressing on the side, or builds a simple meal à la carte like grilled chicken and broccoli.

That’s not being difficult… that’s being intentional. 💯

You don’t have to sacrifice your goals just because you’re eating out. Most places are happy to accommodate—you just have to ask.

Keep it simple. Keep it aligned. And don’t apologize for taking care of yourself. 🙌

“If it’s more than 3, LET IT BE.”

A simple rule to try and follow: if a food has more than 3 ingredients, skip it.

Simplicity means real food. Think eggs, chicken, rice, apples, potatoes. Foods that don’t need a paragraph to explain what they are.

Side note: yes, some foods like guacamole have more than 3 ingredients — but they’re all real, single ingredients coming together to make one food. Avocado, lime, salt, maybe onion. That’s different than a list of additives you can’t pronounce.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness.

Try this for one week:
Before you eat something, check the ingredient list. If it’s longer than 3 and filled with processed extras… let it be!

You might be surprised how much cleaner, simpler, and better you feel.

But turn the box around and you may see ingredients like:

• Sugar
• Brown sugar syrup
• Honey
• Corn starch
• Flavorings

One serving contains 12g of sugar — about 3 teaspoons.

The marketing highlights the healthy ingredient while ignoring the rest of the ultra-processed formula.

This is called a health halo — when one healthy feature makes the entire product seem healthier than it really is.

Next time you shop:
