Our 12+ month residential living facility for men 18 and older is based upon Christ-based 12 Steps, acknowledging that freedom is found only through our Higher Power, Jesus Christ. Started in February 2017, this residential living facility was the natural extension of years of discipling hundreds of people with hurts, habits and hangups in Celebrate Recovery, in the Cherokee County Jail, and in local churches. Executive Director, Ronnie Haynes is Senior Pastor at Ministry House in Canton, GA, Chaplain at the Cherokee County Jail, Ministry Leader for Celebrate Recovery and Men’s Step Studies, and former staff pastor at World Harvest Church in Ball Ground. Ronnie is a former addict, alcoholic and drug dealer. However, in 1994, he was set completely free from all substances through a private encounter with Jesus Christ in the middle of a drug deal. From that point on, he began to rebuild his life based on the truths of the scriptures. But although the addiction was gone, Ronnie discovered that he still had to be healed of the underlying hurts, habits and hangups that had brought on the addiction in the first place. Ronnie still considers himself to be a work in progress, continuing to work the 12 Steps on a daily basis along with his church, ministry leaders and recovery residents. Program Director, Chris Gould is Lead Pastor for JesusTheCure.com and Pastor of Allatoona Ministry Inc. He was formally on staff at Hopewell Baptist Church in Canton, GA. Chris also has experience leading drug and alcohol addiction classes, Celebrate Recovery meetings, Step Studies and much more. Chris struggled with drugs and alcohol addiction for years, mainly with he**in addiction. Through working the 12 steps and devotion to Jesus Christ, Chris has now been in recovery for 10 years. Chris has a passion for reaching those struggling with addiction through the Word of God and the love of Jesus! Administrator & Women’s Pastor, Penny Haynes, is co-Pastor at Ministry House, and co-Leader for Celebrate Recovery in Canton, GA, formerly serving on staff at World Harvest Church in various ministry positions. She has experience counseling women who struggle personally with addiction, as well as women who are hurting due to the addiction of their loved one.
