👂 Be present — Whether it’s a phone call, a visit, or simply sitting nearby, your time means more than you know.

We're thrilled to shine a light on the incredible Julie Rasche, who joined Home Instead in November 2024 and immediately became an integral part of our team. With 25 years of experience in long-term care, Julie brings unparalleled expertise, compassion, and heart to everything she does.
💼 In her role, Julie is instrumental in forging strong partnerships with community providers—whether it's facilities, doctors’ offices, or local organizations. Her dedication to helping families access the support they need so loved ones can remain comfortably at home is deeply personal. After losing her mother to Alzheimer’s in 2022, Julie is passionately committed to making a difference for others navigating similar journeys.
🏡 Outside of work, Julie's world is filled with love. She and her husband Duane have been married for 31 wonderful years and share four amazing children—Nolan, Delaney, Olivia, and Landy. With two married and two currently attending Purdue University, their home is also bustling with fur babies: one dog and four cats!
🎓 Julie is a proud graduate of Jasper High School and VU, and she’s happiest when she’s making the elderly smile, laugh, and feel truly valued.

When Thao walks into the room, a veteran with advanced Parkinson’s — mostly nonverbal — lights up and says, “There’s my angel.”
Thao Nguyen, a Care Pro with Home Instead, doesn’t just show up. She brings music. She brings home-cooked Vietnamese meals. She brings peace of mind.

Originally from Vietnam, Thao cared for her grandmother and extended family from a young age. That lifelong devotion to elders followed her to the U.S., where a neighbor introduced her to caregiving.

One family loved her cooking so much, they stocked their pantry just so Thao could prepare her signature dishes. Another client requested her by name each week, just to hear her music in the hall.

“I treat them like my own parents,” Thao says. “I love them so much.”
