Myron W. Cost, 81 of Jasper, Georgia passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024. Myron was preceded in death by his parents Harold Cost and Zora Louise Noe Cost, his sisters Elizabeth Jane Cost Kiser, Rusene A. Rittenhouse Hicks and step son Shane T. Rippey. Myron is survived by his wife Marjorie “Jake” Cost, his sister Rebecca J. Rittenhouse Harvey, (Michael) step son Curt A. Walker (Angela) grandchildren Caleb, Hannah and Luke. Daughter-in-law Lori Rippey, grandchildren Brandy Kohler and Robert Koehler, great grandchildren Carter, Joseph “Chief”, Bryson and Bently. A host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Myron was born in Ohio and taught airplane aerobatics at Ohio State University, raced cars in Ohio and Florida. He was a dedicated educator in Palm Beach County, FL. He was especially proud of his accomplishments as Principal of South Tech Academy. Many years were spent living on a boat and cruising the Caribbean Islands as well as traveling the USA and Canada for 6 months in a motorhome. Then moving to the mountains of Ellijay, GA in a beautiful log cabin before finally settling down in Jasper, GA. Myron lived a full life with no unfulfilled bucket list items. During his retirement, his love was playing golf with the “Creepy Crawlers” at Whitepath Golf Course. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Amedisys Foundation or your local Hospice. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Florida. Care and Trust placed with In Their Honor of Jasper Funeral and Cremation.
