Program Assistant needed in the Children’s Services at The Arc of Walker County. This position assists with all administrative functions in the Children’s Services including but not limited to answering phone calls, scheduling visits, maintaining physician’s orders, coordinating benefits and services, prepare/process billing, maintain records, etc. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and five years related experience, valid Alabama driver’s license and an insurable driving record. Thank you so much Corner High School Band!!

Thank you to all who supported our recent Rock Your Socks fundraiser! Through the company’s give back program we were able to donate 356 pairs of socks to The Arc of Walker County. This morning band members Jordan Comer, Pete Powell and Matthew Washington delivered the socks to our friends and those served at the Arc. Thank you all for supporting CHS Band and The Arc of Walker County!

It’s Christmas Season! Mick, Timmy, Heather, Dylan, Kyle, Charlotte, Chris, Pam, Doug, Tim, Deanna and Caitlyn all enjoyed decorating the Christmas Tree and seeing the others on the downtown Jasper square for Hope For Women. Thank you Alabama Power Service Organization for sponsoring our tree!

Applications for our Family Grant Program are open until November 30th! This program offers reimbursement of up to $400 for autism-related supports, including:

✅ ABA Therapy
✅ Respite Care
✅ Swimming Lessons
✅ Wandering Prevention Devices

Important reminders:

Upload receipts or invoices showing a minimum of $400 spent.

For respite care, provide a receipt or signed statement from the caregiver with service dates.

All documentation must be dated January 1, 2025 – present.

Complete all fields in the application. If a section doesn’t apply and has a red asterisk, put N/A.
