💥 What is Dry Needling? 💥
Dry needling is a skilled technique used by licensed physical and occupational therapists to treat pain and movement issues caused by muscle tightness or trigger points.

Justin spent the last 5 weeks with Chandler as his clinical instructor, learning, treating patients, and preparing for his next steps!

It is Hand Therapy Week!

Meet Sydney Thigpen, our Occupational Therapist. She’s from Trussville, AL and has been working at the Hoover TherapySouth clinic since August 2024. She graduated with her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2021 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has worked at TherapySouth for 3 years treating as a hand therapist focusing on treatment of the upper extremity. She works on upper extremity injuries conservatively and sees post-op patients from a variety of injuries including but not limited to: trigger finger, wrist fractures/sprains, finger fractures/sprains, tendon and ligament injuries, carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, hand pain/stiffness, and splint fabrications.

Sydney is a Certified Neuro Specialist and specializes in the treatment of patients who have acquired traumatic brain injuries and strokes.
