Join us this summer for a fun and informative 6-week series focused on women’s health and wellness! We’re excited to partner with LifeSpring Health Systems and BLOOM Maternal Health to bring women in our community expert-led sessions covering topics women navigate every day.

🗓 Wednesdays from June 3 – July 8, 2026
🕕 6:00 PM each week

Topics include:
💙 June 3 – Mental Health with Mariah Bauer, MSN-RN
💪 June 10 – Movement with the Tri-County YMCA
🥗 June 17 – Nutrition with Dr. Farah Snyder of Jasper Obstetrics and Gynecology
🌿 June 24 – Hormones and Birth Control with Tara Knight, NP of Jasper Obstetrics and Gynecology
🩺 July 1 – Pelvic Floor Health with Molly Strother, PT, DPT of The Movement Studio
🏥 July 8 – Primary Care with Holly Zehr, NP of Jasper Obstetrics and Gynecology

Each session will include practical tips, interactive activities, and time for questions in a welcoming environment for women of all ages.

Be prepared to save a life! ❤️⛑️

The Dubois County Health Department is excited to offer two FREE Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED courses from the American Heart Association this June.

Our Health Educators will provide hands-on training in:
✔️ First Aid
✔️ CPR
✔️ Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use

📅 Course Dates:
• June 5, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• June 23, 2026 | 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

This free course is open to Dubois County residents ages 13 and older. Class space is limited, and registration is required.

🚨 Reminder: Free ATV Safety Training for Kids is Coming Up! 🚨

The Dubois County Health Department is excited to partner with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and Forest Park FFA Chapter to offer a FREE ATV Safety Training for Dubois County youth ages 6–18!

📅 Date: June 20, 2026
⏰ Time: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. (ET)
📍 Location: Ferdinand Community Center

✅ Learn important ATV safety skills
✅ Understand Indiana laws
✅ Get hands-on safety education

🎁 Bonus: Participants who complete the course will receive a FREE ATV helmet!

Falls are the leading cause of emergency room visits in Dubois County, but many falls can be prevented with small lifestyle changes. The Dubois County Health Department is proud to partner with Generations, Area 13 Agency on Aging, to offer this FREE 8-week program designed to help older adults stay safe, active, and independent.

🌸 Join Us for Our Women’s Summer Series! 🌸

We’re excited to partner with LifeSpring Health Systems and BLOOM Maternal Health to bring you a fun, 6-week series focused on women’s health and wellness. Each week, a women’s health expert will discuss a different topic, sharing helpful tips, real-life guidance, interactive activities, and time for questions.

📅 First Session: Women’s Mental Health
🗓 June 3, 2026
⏰ 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

We will be joined by Mariah Bauer, MSN-RN to discuss important topics related to women’s mental health, including:
• Signs and symptoms of distress
• Mental health stigma
• How and where to access care when needed

Women of all ages in Dubois County are welcome! Each class requires separate registration, so feel free to join one session or attend them all. Registration is required due to limited class space.

This special event will provide:
✔️ Dental cleanings
✔️ Exams
✔️ Needed treatment

Children ages 18 months to 18 years are welcome to participate.

Private insurance and Medicaid will be billed. For families without coverage, a sliding fee scale is available to help make care affordable.
