We’re excited to continue offering American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course to our community in 2026! Our Health Educators will lead the course and provide training on first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED). This free course is open to any Dubois County resident 15 years of age and older.

Registration is required due to limited class space.

There's still time to sign up for our community blood drive on Wednesday, January 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST!

The event will take place at the health department in our education room. The need for blood donations is constant, and every donation can help save up to three lives. Community members are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and give the gift of life during this important event. To schedule a donation, visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter your ZIP code or “DCHD” for the sponsor code to find the Dubois County Health Department drive, or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

As you get ready, gathering important documents like birth certificates and immunization records may be on your to-do list — and we’re here to help! 😊 (One convenient visit and leave with your necessary documents!)

🍼 Birth Certificates
Did you know? If your child was born in ANY COUNTY in Indiana (after 2010), you can obtain their birth certificate right here at the Dubois County Health Department. (This is a new policy, and if you have any questions, feel free to call our team!)

💉 Immunization Records
You can access your child’s immunization records by stopping by the Dubois County Health Department (we’re happy to assist!), or online through My Vax Indiana at 👉 https://myvaxindiana.in.gov

Did you know...Dubois County Health Department provides Digital Radon Detectors! These detectors are rented out for 7 days to Dubois County residents.

After collecting data in your home with the device for 7 days, you must return the device to the health department.
