🌟 Employee Spotlight of the Week 🌟

This week, we’re proud to recognize Trent McCluskey!

Trent began his journey with RPS in July 2019 in Gardendale as part of our BLS division. He later transferred to Jasper where he now serves on an ALS truck. His commitment to growth and service has made him a valued member of our team. During his down time, you will always find him taking out trash or cleaning the ambulace bays. He has also been caught out and about delivering meals to some of his favorite dialysis patients during his off time!

Outside of work, Trent is a devoted family man. He is married to his wife, Tammy Jett McCluskey, and is a proud father and grandfather. His daughter, Terina, has blessed him with four grandchildren — Conner, Rylan, Grayson, and Peyton. The McCluskeys recently adopted their son, Jacob Jett McCluskey, who is 4 years old. Family is at the heart of everything Trent does. He and Tammy also serve as foster parents in Walker County.

Trent’s dedication to education and professional development is impressive. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, is a certified Correctional APOST, and has earned a Juris Doctorate. He is also currently a candidate for the office of Coroner in Walker County.

We are grateful for Trent’s leadership, experience, and commitment to serving both his community and his profession. Thank you, Trent, for everything you bring to RPS!

👏 Congratulations on being our Employee Spotlight of the Week!

Contact your local legislators to support this bill.

No ambulance available and extended responses to 911 emergencies is happening more often in Alabama . This bill will reduce ambulance services from cutting even more resources due to low reimbursement rates. This bill will protect the patients from receiving surprise bills when you dial 911 not knowing the ambulance service was not in-network with your provider. This bill will set commercial reimbursement rates for an initiative in the Rural Healthcare Transformation Plan called Treat in Place. Not everyone that calls 911 needs ER level of care. Ambulances are transporting and tied up with low acuity calls when they can treat in place and remain in the rural areas of Alabama for a true emergency. Thank you Rep Ed Oliver and Senator Bobby Singleton for sponsoring these bills for us. Please call your local legislators and ask them to support this bill. Without this bill Ambulance services will continue to cut services without higher reimbursements to cover expenses. House Bill HB400 Senate Bill SB269

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Clayton Ivey!

Clay joined RPS in July 2019, starting out on BLS, where he earned his Basic license. In 2020, he moved to ALS in Marion, and later transferred to Winston County when operations shifted.

Outside of work, he enjoys painting and music, and he’s always looking ahead — he’s currently considering going for his Advanced license later this year.

We appreciate Clayton’s dedication and growth with RPS and are proud to have him on our team. Thanks for all you do, Clay! 🚑

⭐️ This week's spotlight goes to Blake Noles! ⭐️

Blake is a graduate of Bevill State with a degree in Drafting Engineering but has always felt a deep desire to help people and the call of public service. This desire led him to Regional Paramedical Services, where he has been an employee since 2020. He hired full-time into the Communications Department and quickly became a mainstay in Communications. He is someone who co-workers and leadership frequently depend on in the Jasper Communications Center.

Blake advanced through the ranks, earning his ALEMD and Flight Specialist Certifications, while progressing to become a CTO and then CTO Supervisor. He is known for his strong work ethic, frequently supporting his peers and leadership team whenever and wherever he can. Blake is also known for the care he has for his crews as well as his patients

Blake is happily married to Meagan Noles and is the proud father of two children, Noah and Emily Noles.

When he is not at work, which is rare, Blake enjoys spending time with his family.

This week we would like to recognize Casie Carson!

Casie started working at RPS in April of 2014 after becoming an EMT. She started out on the only BLS truck in St. Clair county. Casie was moved to an ALS truck in Pell City later that year. She’s since been stationed at every base in St. Clair county on almost every shift. After becoming a paramedic in March of 2025 she’s been riding on the Odenville truck on C shift.

Casie currently lives in Ashville with her 16 year old son, Ryan, and her fiancé, Joshua Boggan. She’s recently engaged to get married at the end March.

Her free time is spent with her fiancé, son, and two dogs: Calypso (aka Callie-menace to society) and Reginald (aka Reggie-doesn’t have the brain cells to be anything but sweet.) Congregating with friends, hiking, and going on outdoor adventures are some of their favorite activities.

She’s been accepted into Gadsden State Community College to tackle some prerequisites before applying to nursing school. Landing a position in home healthcare or as a hospice nurse is something she hopes to accomplish. “As much as I would love to work on the truck until I retire, I physically can’t. I wish I could be more like Forest Adams. He’s exceptional and a rare breed!”

Thank you, Casie, for all you do!

🌟 Employee Spotlight of the Week 🌟

This week we want to recognize Amanda Kiser.

Amanda is a Basic EMT working in Shelby and Chilton Counties and has been with RPS for 9 years. She’s dependable, hardworking, and always shows up with a great attitude and a smile.

Amanda is married to Mike Kiser, a fellow EMT and the Police Chief of Uniontown, Alabama. She also owns AK Custom Cakes. A fun fact about Amanda, she appeared on Ultimate Cake Off in 2010 and created a 6 foot firefighter cake completely out of cake!

Amanda takes pride in everything she does, and we’re grateful to have her as part of the RPS team.

Thank you, Amanda, for everything you do!

⭐️ Employee Spotlight of the Week ⭐️

Corey Holden joined RPS on October 19, 2015, as a member of the BLS division. Shortly thereafter, he began picking up some ALS shifts before transferring to ALS as a full time driver. After some time on ALS, BLS needed some experienced hands to help steer the ship. Corey stepped up and moved back to the BLS division to be a role model and mentor for the crew members that were coming in, many of whom this was their first introduction to the medical field. Corey takes great pride in training people to be their best as well as to watch them continue to grow in their career. Over the years, Corey has become a fixture in the BLS division, and works very hard to bring his best effort to everything he does. Second best is not acceptable for him.

When he is not at work, he is very involved with his family and spends as much time with them as possible. Other off duty enjoyments for him include riding motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. Whether at work or as home, Corey tries to live life to the fullest, squeezing joy out of every moment of time he is given.

Thank you Corey for 10 years of dedicated service to Regional Paramedics and the surrounding communities !

This week we’re spotlighting Jonathan “J.T.” Spears!

J.T. joined RPS in 2023 as an Advanced EMT and went on to attend RTI for Paramedic school, graduating just a year later. He’s spent his time serving Jefferson County, mainly out of the Hueytown station.

When he’s off duty, J.T. enjoys hanging out with his cat, going to the movies, and taking care of his fish tanks. He plans to continue growing his career by moving into flight service in the future.

We’re glad to have J.T. on the team. Thanks for everything you do! 🚑👏

Say hello to this week’s Employee of the Week, Alicia Holt!

Alicia started with us back in 2017 as an EMT on a BLS truck in Homewood. After a couple of years, she made the move to ALS in Jasper and has been pushing herself ever since. She earned her AEMT in 2022, became a Paramedic in 2024, and even picked up her TP-C in 2025. Of course, she’s not stopping there... FP-C is next on her list.

Alicia is the youngest of three and loves her two nieces and two nephews that her brothers and their wonderful spouses have brought into the family.

When she’s not on the clock, you can usually find her reading, drawing, or painting when the inspiration hits.

Alicia’s long-term goal is to get into EMS education, and knowing her drive, we’re sure she’ll get there. She is already training new employees in her role as FTO-Relief Supervisor. We’re proud to have her on our team and happy to celebrate her this week!
