It's a great day to break up with a wheelchair after progressing in therapy! 💔 Whenever Mr. Dugas started therapy, he was unable to bear any weight on his foot after suffering an ankle fracture. Today, he turned his wheelchair in as he is able to walk community distances with a walker. Only happy tears here! Byeeeeee! ✌🏼 Maison Teche Nursing Home

🌟 Happy Physical Therapy Month! 🌟

In October, we celebrated the incredible work of our Physical Therapist and Physical Therapy Assistant duo —Karleigh Sigur & Merritt Luneau Hebert—the movement experts who help our residents regain strength, confidence, and independence every single day. These two have worked together for several years in the SNF setting and do so much more than exercise.
They support our residents through some of the most challenging chapters of their lives — post-surgery recovery, fall rehabilitation, stroke rehab, pain management, balance retraining, and helping them safely return to walking and enjoying time with family. Thank you for restoring mobility, reducing fall risk, improving quality of life, encouraging independence, providing hope, motivation & support, and celebrating every milestone — big or small! 💚

🍂 September is Fall Prevention Month! 🍂

At Cypress Rehab, we’re dedicated to keeping our clients safe, steady, and confident every step of the way! Mr. Sigue’s therapy treatment included a fall risk assessment utilizing the Balance Tracking Systems. Based on his pre and post test results, he has improved from a high fall risk to a moderate fall risk when compared to normative data. Next goal: low fall risk.💪👟
