Seyler-Berkebile Marriage & Family Therapy now offers a structured coparenting service. Our coparenting service is an 8-session program focused on child-centered communication, conflict reduction, boundary setting, and functional coparenting skills. Sessions are offered virtually, and each session is 60 minutes long.
After meeting with both parents, the therapist can determine which format will work best for the 60-minute session. Parents may participate together for the full 60 minutes, or the session may be divided into two 30-minute segments.
We no longer accept insurance for this service, and it is offered on a private-pay basis only. The fee is $150 total per session, with a breakdown of $75 per parent.
This update to our coparenting service allows our therapists to provide consistent, focused coparenting services without the limitations often associated with insurance billing, including restrictions related to coverage, reimbursement, and diagnostic requirements.
Our 8-session model is designed to be time-limited, skills-based, and centered on reducing parental conflict while supporting the best interests of the child. Virtual delivery also helps promote accessibility and consistency for both parents.

Laura brings over 18 years of experience in student support and counseling, along with 2 years of family-based work, offering a thoughtful, compassionate, and highly skilled approach to care. In her role as a Secondary School Counselor, Laura developed and implemented intervention strategies, leads weekly small-group counseling sessions, collaborates with staff and students, and coordinates crisis management efforts to support overall well-being and success.
Her background includes extensive experience in crisis intervention, SAP coordination, program development, career planning, student engagement, and resource coordination, paired with strong strengths in empathy, active listening, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
Laura holds a degree in Secondary School Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, giving her a solid foundation in understanding both individual needs and broader educational and family systems.
✨ Laura is now accepting new clients on Fridays.
We are excited to have her as part of our team and confident she will be a wonderful support to the individuals, couples and families we serve. Welcome, Laura!

If you or know of anyone losing access to their SNAP benefits, please instruct them to go to this website and apply for emergency assistance. This is a PA state program through federal funding. They have to apply RIGHT NOW, it starts Nov 1. Even though the government is shut down, this program is considered essential, and the employees are working, including the individual listed here on the site.
