MAY is MENTAL HEALTH month 🧠💐🌸

Take this as your sign… If you feel like your mental health has not been up to par for what ever reason - life, stress, family, finances, schedules, change of season - please take the time this month to make an appointment for YOU. 🌸

As a provider - mental health is just as important to me as physical health. I have worked really hard to make sure I have a solid referral base of mental health services all over the regional area.

🌸 Fun fact about me is that I started my career in healthcare at 18 years old working in mental health. I worked at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic while I was in undergrad. This taught me early on the importance of mental health, how it affects our overall health and that early intervention is key. I gained so much awareness at that job surrounding mental health and how it can affect patients in all walks of life. I strongly believe this foundation helped make me the provider I am today. ☺️

While the scouts are looking for quarterbacks, I’m over here scouting for the “Elite 11” of your biochemistry. If your health has been on the “bench” lately, it’s time to rebuild the roster.

“I’m two years postpartum... why am I still so tired?” 🥱📉

I hear this in my office literally at least once a week. We’ve been conditioned to think that “postpartum” only lasts six weeks. In reality, Postpartum Depletion can last for years if we don’t actively work to replenish what was lost.

The truth is I haven’t touched a regular cup of coffee in years. ☕️🚫

It wasn’t really by choice but after I had my kids, my body decided it was officially done with coffee and most caffeine for that matter. I developed a total aversion to it—the jitters and the heart palpitations and insomnia just weren’t worth it anymore.

Enter Matcha. 🍵✨

In my opinion, it is the absolute superior caffeine source, especially for women’s hormones. Unlike the “spike and crash” of coffee, matcha gives me that calm, sustained focus I need to get through a full day of patients and mom-life without sending my cortisol into a tailspin.
