Recognizing MAFP’s 2025 Distinguished Service Award Recipient!

Congrats to Dr. Darryl Nelson for his long-time dedication to advancing, contributing, and supporting the MAFP and the specialty of family medicine.

Recently retired CMO at , Dr. Nelson dedicated 38 years to family medicine, patient care, and community service in Kansas City and beyond.

The award was presented at last month’s Annual Fall Conference during our Great Medsby Roaring-20’s–themed Awards Ceremony.
