I got home last night after a grueling flight. We left Durban South Africa at 1.00 pm SA time on Monday and finally got to America Late yesterday afternoon. Except for the traveling everything was fabulous. Spent lots of time with friends and family and ate lots of good South African food. However the one bad thing that happened to me in Johannesburg airport was that my phone was stolen out of my pocket. I was so tired after the 15 hr flight that I was not alert. It must have happened when I was picking up my bags. It was a real bummer because I had not phone the hole time. It makes you realize how many times you reach for you phone without thinking. So I apologize for not responding to anyone who tried to text me or email me while I was away. So that is the first thing I will have to get a new phone and possibly a new number.

I am so excited to see all of my wonderful clients. I have put the past month of quarantine to good use by studying new treatments and techniques for acne, compromised skin, aging skin, rosacea, and skin of color. I am absolutely obsessed with these boosters. After one treatment, the inflammation had calmed down and the acne had cleared up. The texture of the skin is also smoother, softer, and brighter now.

May is skin cancer awareness month.
Remember to wear your sunscreen.
Spf 30 is best. Higher numbers just give you a short while longer without reapplying
Reapply every 2 hours when you are outside enjoying the beautiful weather.

The National Rosacea Society established April as Rosacea Awareness Month. For your friends and family members who don't know much about rosacea, here is some basic information you can share with them:

• Rosacea (roh-ZAY-sha) is a chronic condition that mostly affects the skin on the face
• Rosacea is a common condition, especially in adults with fair or light-colored skin
• Rosacea has many symptoms, including:
- Raised spots and pimple-like bumps, sometimes with pus inside
• Without treatment, the symptoms of rosacea may get worse

Don't be afraid to tell others about your experiences with rosacea. Sharing your story may inspire others to get the help they need.

Tip! Cystic acne occurs when sebum (oil) becomes trapped deep underneath the skin, with a decline in oxygen and cellular turnover. Cysts can be large and painful. Taking a more aggressive peeling approach will reduce cellular buildup while drawing out impurities.
