We are pleased to share that we have signed an agreement with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) to protect our patients’ in-network access to SSM Health.

This agreement means patients with commercial (employer-sponsored) and Medicaid UnitedHealthcare plans can continue receiving care from the SSM Health doctors and hospitals they know and trust without disruption at in-network rates.

Patients who have delayed or canceled appointments should reschedule using MyChart or by calling their provider’s office.

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital instructs third-year medical students from KCU through a program led by Dr. Christopher Paynter. SSM Health staff participate in teaching the students, such as Dr. James Smith, LPC, discussing with KCU students what therapy is and how it works. We’re pleased to share that we have signed a letter of agreement with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) to protect our patients’ in-network access to SSM Health.

The letter of agreement is a 30-day extension on the current contract with a focus on keeping patients with commercial (employer-sponsored) and Medicaid UnitedHealthcare plans in network. This means patients can continue receiving care from SSM Health doctors and hospitals without disruption at in-network rates.

This is a win for our patients and communities who deserve the high-quality care they know and trust.
