Hey there remember me your favorite sunscreen queen 👸🏽!

It’s that time of year where I tell you all the important bits about your sunscreen and what to buy!

This year I’m going to give you some fun facts and ask that you help me in “taking the pledge” for applying and re-applying your SPF.

Many of you know my husband Lance. In 2016 my husband was diagnosed with melanoma. In 2017 he had an excision to remove the cancer. Foreshadowing into my future, I now work for the clinic that found my husband’s cancer.

It has been my mission since that day to make sun safety a huge priority for my family and now all of you.

Here are some skin facts about skin cancers and why you should take sunscety seriously.

☀️Having 5 or more sunburns doubles your risk for melanoma

☀️90% of melanomas are cause by UV exposure

☀️1 in 5 people will develop skin cancer in their lifetime

☀️ Apply your SPF in the Am & reapply every 2 hours

Always remember to apply SPF generously.
Wear sun protective clothing.
Seek shade between the hours of 10am-2pm.

Babies under the age of 6 months shouldn’t use SPF but should use UV protective clothing and hats.

And as always CHOOSE WHAT WORKS FOR YOU! Something is better than nothing.
