Urology Care is looking for a staff nurse. The position is responsible for providing nursing care to the patient under the direction of a physician or health care provider.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
>Collection of selected data about the health status of the patient.
>Participate in the development of the plan of care with other team members and safely implements that plan.
>Communicate in an attentive and individualized manner in every encounter.

>Scan documents into Patient Management System
>Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
>Adhere to all policies and procedures including office and state protocols.

>Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification/Licensure:
Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or LPN.
Experience: 6 – 12 months of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Skills:
>Ability to administer a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
>Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
>Ability to use various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures.
>Ability to take vital signs.
>Ability to maintain quality control standards.
>Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
>Other Requirements:
>Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
>Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
>Knowledge of medications and their effects on patients.
>Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
>Ability to react calmly and effectively in busy or emergency situations.
>Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.

Urology Care, Inc, Jefferson City Missouri is seeking a friendly, energetic full-time Medical Receptionist. Able to multi-task in a customer service driven environment.

Job Summary: Manages all traffic at the front check in window.

Essential Functions of the Position:

Prepares e-chart prior to visit
o Prints encounter form, demographic verification form (DVF), other necessary forms per patient

Assist traffic at front window
o Manages sign in sheets
o Schedules appointments
o Assists with medication refill requests
o Handles customer requests or needs
o Assists vendors
o Monitors the lobby for cleanliness and patients in distress

Completes patient check in processes
o Distributes and collects new patient forms
o Verifies HIPAA and Privacy signatures are obtained
o Confirms photo ID is scanned into computer systems
o Confirms insurance cards are scanned into computer systems and keyed correctly
o Obtains patient signature on DVF at each visit
o Updates patient demographics as needed, including insurance
o Updates work flow event to “check in”
o Records “no show” appointments in the system

Collects and processes monies due
o Collects co-payment amounts
o Collects patient balance dues
o Balances user journal and prepares cash reconciliation form
o Secures deposit and funds

Answers phones and assists callers when primary responsibilities allow
o Directs calls to proper individuals
o Takes messages

Completes the end of day processes
o Prints next day appointment schedules
o Empties HIPAA container into the destruction bin
o Logs off systems and out of the computer before leaving

Additional Responsibilities:

• Directs incoming faxes and mail to correct staff members
• Maintains an organized and clean work area
• Participates in maintenance of front office supplies
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
• Obtains prior authorizations for medical procedures

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
• Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
• High level verbal and written communication skills
