FYI TO ALL FOSTER AND ADOPTIVE PARENTS

After a wave of requests, we are hosting one TBRI training for caregivers starting in March!

Traditional discipline often doesn't work for children who have experienced trauma. Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is a different path—one that focuses on healing the relationship to change the behavior.

This transformative class teaches three core pillars:
• Empowering: Meeting physical and environmental needs to build "felt safety."
• Connecting: Creating trust and secure attachment through mindful interaction.
• Correcting: Using compassionate strategies to replace fear with social skills.

The dates listed are ONE entire class totaling 21 hours.
Virtual class dates are these Tuesdays and Thursdays in March: March 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, & 31
Each class runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Hello, my name is Hope Day. I am a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) working under the supervision of Merideth Lehman, LPC, CCLS, RPT™. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and have received specialized training in Play Therapy.
For the past seven years, I have worked in school settings, counseling children and adolescents ages 4–18. During that time, I have supported students through a wide range of challenges, including:
• Anxiety and depression
• ADHD, attention difficulties, and executive functioning struggles
• Behavioral challenges and emotional regulation
• Peer conflict, bullying, and social skills
• Family transitions, divorce, and grief
• Academic stress and school-related pressures

Bamboo Nutrition is in great company with other amazing providers in the mid MO area, including Merideth!
Merideth's favorite thing about being a play therapist is the knowledge and experience she's acquired to work with and understand kiddos in a language that they know best. She says "play allows me to meet the client where they are, build rapport through a safe and familiar way, and allows the client to express themself in the best way they know how. Children are still growing and learning language/emotions and may not have the verbal words needed to fully express themselves. Children naturally express themselves through play so why not tap in to the most natural way for children to learn and grow."
Grace Counseling, LLC, is a Jefferson City based group of counselors who specialize in play therapy, couples counseling, grief counseling, and eating disorder therapy.
