Bamboo Nutrition is in great company with other amazing providers in the mid MO area, including Merideth!
Merideth's favorite thing about being a play therapist is the knowledge and experience she's acquired to work with and understand kiddos in a language that they know best. She says "play allows me to meet the client where they are, build rapport through a safe and familiar way, and allows the client to express themself in the best way they know how. Children are still growing and learning language/emotions and may not have the verbal words needed to fully express themselves. Children naturally express themselves through play so why not tap in to the most natural way for children to learn and grow."

"Changing Negatives into Positives" is a CBT therapy group Rick has been offering for 14 years and have seen a lot of mental health success. A note from Rick: Hi, I am a Licensed Counselor, husband, and follower of Jesus. I have worked in mental health care for the past 25yrs and most recently in the prison system for the past 14yrs. Hello, my name is Sharon. I moved to central MO when I married back in 2011, then left for my husband to attend school in the west for the last 5 years, and am back as an LPC beginning my practice in Jeff. Something I have consistently found to be at the heart of people's sadness, anxiety, and general discontent is a lack of self-compassion and acceptance of who they are. This means we are looking for solutions outside ourselves, especially relying maybe entirely on our relationships to help us feel we have worth, but this has to come from us or we won't believe it anyway. I believe it is vital for each of us to find in ourselves our own best support before we can be complete.
