Noticing brown discoloration around your ankles? It might be hemosiderin staining.

Dr. Ryan explains what’s happening beneath the surface:

1️⃣ Pressure in your veins causes blood to leak into nearby tissue.

2️⃣ That blood breaks down into brown-colored hemosiderin.

3️⃣ Your tissue then is permanently stained with brown hemosiderin.
