Missouri College of Emergency Physicians

Missouri College of Emergency Physicians MoCEP is a not-for-profit Missouri corporation comprised of approximately 500 emergency physicians. The primary purposes of our organization are:

1.

To establish standards of emergency medicine.


2. To encourage and to implement the training and continuing education of emergency physicians.


3. To study and to analyze socio-economic aspects of emergency medical care.


4. To promote education of the general public and of patients who may require emergency care.


5. To promote research, which will result in improving emergency medicine.


6. To promote coordination of community emergency care facilities and personnel.


7. To promote policies, which preserve the integrity of private practice.


8. To promote official community state and national representation for emergency medicine in organized and academic medicine.


9. To promote the establishment of full and autonomous emergency departments within all hospital and medical staff structures providing full-time emergency department coverage by emergency physicians.


10. And generally to promote the improvement of the practice of emergency medicine.
