Our Story
Capital City Massage provides therapeutic Massage in a quiet environment in Jefferson City, Mo. The more you know about your body the better you will feel. At Capital City Massage, we believe that massage is a lifelong healing tool, designed to relieve stress, calm the body and improve sleep, blood circulation and overall flexibility.
I am Andrea Young RN, LMT- owner of Capital City Massage. I believe the more you know about your body, the better you will feel. Meaning I want to help you learn why your body hurts, how to correct it and help you feel better. Massage should be part of your health and wellness routine. More so now at the beginning of this new year and especially if you are embarking on a new fitness routine-you need massage! I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2009. I have worked with MU women’s athletes as well as other visiting D1 athletes and built strong bonds with my day to day clients as well. . As a nurse (29+ years and counting!) I tend to get and focus on complicated cases such as chronic pain, post-op surgeries, thoracic outlet syndrome and more. I can also help you to relax as well. I stay up do date on my nursing skills by working part time at JCMG Express care and some of my favorite clients are nurses! I also love to introduce massage to young people. My youngest client is 8 years old. Massage is a great tool to give to our youth. It teaches them self-care and stress management at a young age, and It will follow them through to adulthood. . Nursing is my career; massage is my outlet and small business is my passion! I have mentored many massage therapists and others start their own business. Some would even call me a pusher, but it’s really passion. I feel everyone should own a small business at some point in their life, even if it is just a side hustle. Putting your face out there to represent yourself can teach you to be a better employee when working for a corporation. I absolutely love seeing other massage therapists step away from spa’s and companies to work for themselves. #KNOWYOURWORTH! I love to inspire others and help them see in themselves what I already see. Knowledge, skill and drive! . Capital City Massage is also home to Rachel Steinmeier, LMT and Jayme Russel of Russel Therapeutic Massage. We also have a room available for rent and would love to have another professional in our studio. Having these talented and supportive women all in one space is amazing. We do not compete; we support each other and that makes a big difference in the world of small local business. . When I am not massaging or being a nurse I also co-own and run Rebel Tacos with my wife Emily. We work hard in all that we do. We strive to give back to our community and our work allows us to support local organizations that are close to our heart such as the Central Missouri Down Syndrome Guild, People Helping Paws Dog Rescue where we foster dogs and K9’s on The Front Line • Missouri who train rescue dogs to become service dogs for veterans. We also love to travel, eat tacos and search out food trucks all over the world. . To say my life is full is an understatement but helping others is what I am passionate about and I hope to be able to help you as well. Welcome to Capital City Massage!
