Introducing Richard Coleman as our new Vice President of Employment and Community Support at UCP Heartland!
In this role he provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Employment Resources, Family Navigation, Pre-ISLA, ISLA, and Adaptive Equipment/Assistive Technology programs throughout the St. Louis region, as well as Employment Resources in Jefferson City, Missouri.
With more than 25 years of experience in employment services, sales, business development, recruitment, and workforce development for individuals with barriers to employment, Richard is dedicated to advancing inclusive employment opportunities while supporting local businesses in building a diverse workforce. He is passionate about sharing his expertise with both his team and the broader disability community across Missouri.
Richard has held numerous leadership and advisory roles, including serving as the Treasurer and Board Member for Missouri APSE on the Starling Board, and as Co-Chair of the Gateway Employment Nexus. He has also worked as a Job Developer and Mentor Training Instructor in the St. Louis region and served as an Adjunct Instructor at Maryville University, teaching a course focused on disability and employment.
