🩺 Help Shape Missouri’s Rural Health Future: DSS Seeks Physician Input

The Missouri Department of Social Service is inviting physicians and healthcare stakeholders to submit ideas for transforming rural healthcare through the newly launched Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). The RHTP is a $50 billion federal initiative created under H.R.1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).

Missouri physicians are uniquely positioned to guide this effort with frontline insights and practical solutions.

🔍 What’s Needed: MO HealthNet Division is seeking public comment on which priorities Missouri should pursue. The OBBA outlines nine eligible funding categories. States must select at least three. Missouri physicians are the experts in what is needed to improve healthcare in our state! Your ideas—whether focused on workforce stabilization, care delivery redesign, telehealth expansion, or rural hospital sustainability—are critical to shaping a strategy that reflects clinical realities to protect Missouri patients and practice of medicine.
