Parents, this post is important❗️

🦷 If you grew up with dental fears, it’s completely understandable but you can break the cycle! Children learn how to feel about a trip to the dentist by watching us. They pick up on our words, tone and even body language.

🦷 Try to remember to stay positive; remind them the dentist helps to keep our teeth healthy! Avoid phrases like “don’t be scared” or “it’s not going to hurt” as this could sometimes be counterproductive.

🦷 Pediatric dentists are specially trained to make dental visits fun, gentle and kid-friendly from the very first tooth. When children start dental visits early AND in a safe, comfortable setting, it’s much easier to build a lifetime of happy, healthy, smiles. Let’s give our kids the chance to LOVE going to the dentist! 🫶🏻

Dental Assistant Appreciation Post! 🦷 What would we do without them?! They are the true MVP’s of our office - juggling instruments, schedules, and nerves with ease. They keep us on track, know your child's favorite Netflix shows, and help ensure everything runs smoothly. We are beyond grateful for their hard work and dedication; thank you to ALL of our incredible dental assistants, from our pediatric team to our ortho team, you are the best of the best!

March is here! Last month was all about National Children’s Dental Health Month. Our incredible dental hygienists kept super busy as they began making their annual school visits to teach children all about the importance of dental health🪥 We celebrated a couple employee birthdays, Lucia & Keia, AND milestone anniversaries; happy 1 year to Gabby and 5 years to Gianna! Lastly, we ended the month by saying goodbye to Dr. Chris. He will be very missed by all of us but we wish him all the best in his new chapter.

We are looking forward to a great month with hopefully some warmer spring weather!

Wrapping up Children’s Dental Health Month with National Tooth Fairy Day! 🧚🏼‍♀️ Every child is different but most children lose their first tooth around the age of 5 or 6 but it CAN happen as early as 4 yrs. old. Typically, the first teeth to erupt, are the first teeth to wiggle free. 🦷
