This week therapist Lucinda is completing her EMDR training and we are so proud of her. What is EMDR? It is a tool that can be used by trained therapists to process trauma and other distressing events by engaging both sides of the brain. Helping the left side (logic) and the right side (emotions) come together to reorganize the junk that has happened in your life. While it feels odd or unconventional to many, it has been proven repeatedly to be an effective tool. Read more here

Good morning friends.
I know that the algorithms prevent many of you from seeing posts, so I hope the excuse a repeat of information. I just really want to make sure everyone is in the know.

I'm attaching a flyer for October's remaining events. If you are planning to attend, or have questions, please reach out right away. I need a head count.

Here are some things to remember:
* Open play hours are currently still weekdays 8am-2pm and Saturdays 8-11am; even on event days! So come play even if you can't attend the event.

* The member price on the kids event is not just about customer loyalty, it is also because the event ticket only needs to cover the materials cost, while the non-member price also includes a discounted play pass fee.

Join Integrity Counseling in giving a warm welcome to our newest clinician Erin Rossiter, LCSW.

Erin has considerable experience working with individuals, families, and professionals whose lives intersect with the legal/court system. Substance use and co-occurring diagnoses, trauma, anxiety, shame, grief, loss, adjustment disorders, and the influence of aging and chronic illness on such life challenges are some of Erin’s focus areas. She is trained in mediation. Helping individuals work through conflicted relationships in a therapy setting is also a clinical interest.

Happy Labor Day! Happy September. For those that have been following along...we have had an affirmation per month so far this year and an interactive waiting room activity. August's affirmation was I AM LOVED with the question of how do you know you are loved. Here are the answers:

-The bond between me and my girls says it all
-That my parents take care of me
-My husband turns on my mattress warmer every night because he knows I am cold at night
-When my daughter rubs my back
-I can feel the pace in my heart
