Exciting news at the rink as Fall begins… The cracks in the concrete that have allowed water loss to occur in the filled rink have been repaired! A city crew of Dewey, Eric, and Mickey spent 2 days filling the large cracks with 450lbs of hydraulic cement!

2020 Update: Unfortunately, I timed my hip repair surgeries with skating season this year which means Rich and I are unable to care for the rink this season. If you have any questions about the rink contact the Greene County Community Center at 515-386-3412

Rink update! Even after all this snow, the ice is great. You might want bring a metal edged shovel and do a bit of scraping if you plan to skate. 🙂

THIS is what the rink is all about! A pick up hockey game on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We had 12 people of all ages on the ice having a blast with winter outdoor recreation.
