Happy Pink Friday! Our team members are joining together every Friday in October to raise awareness and show their support for breast cancer by wearing pink.

Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and that it's the second leading cause of cancer death among women? Mammograms are among the most powerful breast cancer detection tools available. This October, we hope you will think pink and be sure to schedule your mammogram today!

The Material Girls at Greenfield Campground have done it again! We would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to this wonderful group of women for continuing to gift our oncology and pediatric patients with beautiful handmade pillows, blankets, hats and teddy bears. We received more than 200 items, which will be used to keep our patients warm and comfortable during their visits. Your kindness, generosity and support means more than you know! ❤️

What a memorable day on the course! Not even a few early morning rain showers could dampen our spirits. AMH Police Chief Rick Swain had quite the view of Jefferson this morning from the roof of Bojangles! Rick teamed up with local law enforcement agencies for the annual Rooftop Cops fundraiser to support local children and their families suffering from cancer. The fundraiser runs until 7 p.m., so there's still time to stop by and make a donation.

We're pleased to welcome Aaron Glenn, RN, MSN, to the team as our new Chief Nursing Officer. Aaron has more than 20 years of nursing and leadership experience, including having spent 11 years serving as the Senior Director of Nursing/Chief Nursing Officer at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital, a critical access hospital in Lexington, Va.

“When you work in a small community, the people that you’re taking care of are the individuals that you cross paths with on a daily basis,” Aaron says. “We’re changing lives, and we want our nurses and care givers to be the best at their jobs that they can possibly be.
