Scientists have long known that regular exercise can lower your heart rate and strengthen your cardiovascular system.
However, new research on rats suggests that aerobic workouts may also reshape part of the body’s nervous system. Read more here:

A rat study has found that aerobic exercise may reshape nerves that control the heart. However, the impact was not the same on both sides of the stellate ganglia. The findings could pave the way for improvements in nerve-targeted therapies, but human studies are still needed.
