Happy 1st Day of Spring!
Now is the time to start looking in your yard for medicine.
Dandelion and Violets are just starting to bloom in my yard. And both have medicinal uses
Dandelion flowers, leaves, and roots can be used in teas and salves. It is a diuretic and great herb for detoxing the body. It is good to promote liver health, UTIs and skin infections, very high in vitamins, and the roots can also be used as a coffee substitute.
Violets are known to stimulate the lymphatic system, is anti inflammatory, and can also be used topically for skin wounds and conditions.
