Here are three chiropractor-approved ways to protect your spine while on the move:

1. Support Your Spine While Sitting
Whether you're flying or driving, prolonged sitting can strain your lower back. Pack a small lumbar pillow or roll up a towel to support the natural curve of your spine. Sit up tall, keep both feet flat, and avoid crossing your legs to maintain alignment.

2. Stretch Every Time You Stop
Plan regular stretch breaks during road trips or long layovers. Try gentle moves like knee-to-chest stretches, standing spinal twists, or hamstring stretches to keep your muscles loose and circulation flowing.

3. Pack Light – and Lift Right
Avoid back strain by using rolling luggage and packing only what you truly need. When lifting bags, bend your knees, keep the item close to your body, and avoid twisting motions. Let your legs do the work!
