WE DID IT! 1000 followers! As promised I give you… Thomas in his tap dancing era!

In an event that very well could have lead Thomas on the path of becoming a trauma therapist, he experienced a traumatic event of being forced to perform in a recital. He walked on the stage stood with his arms crossed the entire time and then finally did ONE spin and the audience went wild (bonus content- our brother David clung to a door and refused to even walk on stage). Thomas has worked diligently to heal from this event and I’m here to bring it back up!!

Thank you for the followers, this is genuinely extremely fun. We love helping people and embarrassing each other along the way!

I recently had the privilege of contributing to a piece about su***de prevention among members of the LGBTQ post-election. I’m passionate about crisis work and was raised in a household of advocates for LGBTQ rights.

The political and media environment compounds already existing trauma within the community as crisis calls skyrocket at a staggering 700% increase.

We need to be showing up for our LGBTQ friends and family during this time as fallout from cynical, venomous campaigns and damaging policies continue to come down the pipeline.

I am beyond proud of my mom, .banta, for receiving the Kentucky Psychological Association’s “Distinguished Public Service” award.

My mom was one of the first republicans to cosponsor a bill to end the abhorrent practice of conversion therapy in the state (banned as of a few months ago).

My mom fought ardently against anti-trans legislation as despicable lawmakers used this group as a political football.

My mom consistently advocates for access to mental health treatment and, with the combined efforts of other lawmakers in the state (and a rad governor), has catapulted Kentucky from rank #33 in access to mental health treatment to rank #1 in the country.

My mom is frequently an outlier in her party on these issues but never wavers on her principles.
