Falls aren't fun!

Take it from me and my first hand experience. LUCKILY I have the incredible team of At Home Rehab in my back pocket. Our incredible therapist and nurse helped walk me through a THOROUGH pre-op plan that included safety for my family, medication routines and how to manage them and infection prevention. THEN they took every one of my calls when I had questions about pain, side effects or what I could and couldn't do. Let's be honest, I wasn't myself after surgery and was agreeable to everything, so I needed the extra skilled help to walk me through this when I had better comprehension.
While I'm still on the road to recovery, I am confident that having this team in my corner is the reason why I am doing so well only 1 week post-op.

Moral of this story, if you have an Orthopedic need for therapy, including ORIF (like me :) , Total Hip, Total Knee, Shoulder Replacement or even rotator cuff surgery, reach out to At Home Rehab. These guys got you covered ❤️

Please help us wish the wonderful KIM a HAPPY PHYSICAL THERAPY MONTH!!

I went to college at GVSU for undergraduate and graduate school (where I met Elissa AND Cindy!)
My favorite thing about PT is being able to help patients understand the why behind so many various symptoms/conditions and disease processes that they are faced with. We do so much to help patients get through often very difficult situations in their lives, which is so rewarding.
I really love AHR, as it's allowed me to get back to a setting that I enjoy so much with the challenges that it brings. I started my career in outpatient orthopedics but quickly transitioned to homecare from 2007-2018. I took a 'short' break from homecare 2018-2024 to manage a fantastic team of therapists in a critical hospital setting and then was able to return to homecare this past July! The team here At Home is such a fantastic group to work with and I love that it's a small company which is clinician-run. I know that my bosses have my back and we really band together to take the best care of our patients across the board.
If I'm not working, I'm either sitting in an ice arena to watch my son play hockey for CMU (FireUp!), attending a hockey game with my daughter at UofM (GoBlue!), dancing at concerts (Stevie Wonder coming up) or traveling abroad somewhere amazing (Mexico is on deck)!

Thank you for all you do, Kim! It is a privilege to have you as part of the At Home Rehab team ❤️

Elissa attended Grand Valley State University for undergrad and graduate school. She graduated in 2006.
Elissa loves working with so many new people in the community who share the same passions as herself. Also, getting to help patients and families while making a positive impact on the seniors she serves.
"I love working for a small company that is focused on doing what's best for each individual patient. I just love our team!"
Elissa loves hiking trails in her home town of Lowell and is a loving new mom to a sweet baby girl named Rosie. :)

We are beyond honored to have Elissa as part of the At Home Rehab family! She very easily becomes our patients favorite physical therapist, whenever she arrives. Happy Physical Therapy Month Elissa!

In honor of PHYSICAL THERAPY MONTH, please allow me to introduce to you, the one and only Kelly Pines! Aka PT extraordinaire!

Kelly Pines is a Physical Therapist and the Clinical Director for At Home Rehab. She loves being part of the At Home Rehab team because "I get to work with the greatest people. Our entire team is filled with hard working, talented caregivers with excellent clinical skills. We also have amazing patients! I love working here!"
Kelly attended Central Michigan University for her Bachelors and Masters Degrees and graduated in 1999. Throughout her career, Kelly has worked in a variety of settings. She began her career in Acute Orthopedics/Neuro ICU and transitioned to the Outpatient Orthopedic, Return to Work, and Vestibular Rehab settings. Kelly has a passion for providing physical therapy for patients in their homes since 2005. She loves working with older adults with a variety of physical and cognitive abilities. In addition to patient care, Kelly also enjoys teaching and educating our community, caregivers, and students about Physical Therapy.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and her dog, Finnegan. She loves outings with crazy group of family and friends too. Kelly enjoys boating, attending concerts, and loves Country and Irish music.
