Nick and Lindsey Hope to Adopt

Adoption agencies are putting their programs on hold right now as they are saying they don't have as many prospective birth mothers. Or, are jacking up their prices/fees for adoptive parents.
We have our foster/adoptive license, but were also wanting to get a home study update for a second private infant adoption of a girl of color. Frustrating the options seem limited right now when there's a lot of talk of an expected baby boom.

Truth!

It has to be the reasoning I hear most often from would-be foster parents: “I could never do that. I would get too attached.” Well, that makes two of us. Attachment is the whole point of this, after all.

Yes. We have a beautiful family. No, because Nadira’s adoption was finalized it doesn’t mean we are done. We have been in the process of getting our foster/adoption from foster care license. We are still continuing that journey. Maybe nothing comes of it. Maybe it does. It’s in God’s hands. We are here for where he leads us.
