Walking into Tiffany & Co. for a benefit fair was a full-circle moment I will never forget. I entered those doors as a customer, admiring the beauty, the luxury, and the experience. This time was different. I walked in not to purchase something, but to offer something valuable of my own.

There was something deeply empowering about being compensated for my service in a place where I once only spent money. It reminded me how much growth can happen when you continue to invest in yourself, trust your gifts, and stay committed to your purpose. The same spaces you once admired from the outside can eventually become spaces that recognize your value.

Moments like this remind me that growth is not always loud. Sometimes it looks like quietly evolving from the consumer to the contributor, from the observer to the professional, from wondering if you belong to realizing you were always worthy of being in the room.

I am so grateful that I get to be fully present in my grandchildren’s life. There is something so special about the way she brightens my day with just her smile, her laughter, and her presence. In a world that moves so fast, moments with her remind me to slow down, cherish the little things, and soak in the beauty of unconditional love.

My favorite student was waiting for me, trusting me to help her navigate a conflict with a classmate—and that moment stayed with me. Because it wasn’t just about solving a problem. It was about learning how to communicate, how to regulate emotions, how to see another perspective, and how to repair what feels broken.

Social-emotional learning is not extra—it’s essential. These are the quiet, powerful skills that shape how our students show up in relationships, in conflict, and in life long after they leave our classrooms.

I don’t take it lightly that they come to me in those moments. I’m grateful to be a safe place, a guide, and a witness to their growth—helping them build tools they’ll carry for a lifetime.

First day back after six months off.
Grateful for the pause that allowed me to rest, reset, and realign. Now I return refreshed, renewed, and ready to pour back into my students with intention, patience, and purpose. New season. Same calling. Elevated mindset.

They say my smile lights up every room I walk into…

But what they don’t see is—
that smile was built through healing, growth, and choosing joy even on hard days.

So if my smile reaches you, just know…
it’s real, it’s intentional, and it’s for you too

Don’t underestimate the power of showing up with light.
You never know who needs it.

When you’re not feeling well and the weather is gloomy, a warm bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup can feel like medicine for the body and comfort for the soul. The warmth helps your body relax, the broth hydrates you, and the simple ingredients are easy on your stomach.

And honestly, there’s something special about cooking for yourself when you’re not feeling your best. It’s a small act of care—almost like saying, “I’m going to take care of myself today.

Meal prepping has opened the door for me to try fruits and vegetables I normally wouldn’t reach for. This week I made a delicious butternut squash soup and fresh ginger shots—both nourishing and full of flavor. I’m learning that healthy cooking isn’t about restriction, it’s about discovery. With every meal I prepare, I’m becoming more intentional about what I put into my body, choosing foods that fuel my health, support my healing, and help me care for the body God has entrusted to me.

Although singing is not my gift, I will still encourage my granddaughter with all my heart, creating space for her to explore, grow, and discover the unique gifts God has placed within her. My role is not to be the talent, but to nurture the calling, reminding her that what God has placed inside of her is worthy of being developed and shared with the world.

Remorse reacts to exposure. Repentance responds with transformation. Remorse is emotional; repentance is intentional. One feels bad about being seen. The other makes a decision to become different. You don’t measure change by tears, apologies, or promises—you measure it by patterns. Because when someone has truly changed, their behavior tells a new story.

2025 has ended my wellness journey. For the first 30 days in January I am doing a 30 and 30. I will spend 30 minutes reading the word of God, praying, praising or meditating and 30 minutes of moving my body. Come and join me so we can grow spiritually, physically and mentally. Who can I depend on for accountability?
