From : I didn’t just stumble into home health. I was raised in it. My brother is 5 ½ years younger than me. He was born with a rare skin disorder called ichthyosis, and he also has autism and a profound intellectual disability. He speaks, but he’s not conversational. He needs help with everything, and growing up, I watched my parents do it all with almost no support.

There were no case managers. No real advocates. No one explaining what services we could get. My mom fought hard, but she was exhausted physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I remember missing out on things because everything revolved around trying to survive and take care of him. I remember feeling helpless, wanting to do more but not knowing how.

It wasn’t until I got into healthcare that things started to make sense. I learned how the system worked, and I made it my mission to become the advocate my family never had. I helped my mom navigate waivers, apply for supports, fight for services, and I saw firsthand what a difference it made when someone actually stood in your corner.

That’s why I built We C.A.R.E. We’re not just here to provide services. We’re here to make sure no one has to go through what my family did. Every client we serve, every parent we support, every adult child calling for help, I see my family in them. And I lead this agency with that in my heart every single day.
