She has been a trusted media resource for the local and national press regarding mental health and relationship issues, including being featured on CNN. She is a published author and has written "First Comes Love, Then What? Challenging Your Assumptions on Dating, Love and Commitment" for Focus on the Family. She has served as Editor and Chief Writer of Community Kids Magazine, has a regular column in the Asbury Tidings Magazine, and has written for many other local and national publications. Kim Founded the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International Chapter in Tulsa in 1996, and spearheaded integration efforts for all Hurricane Katrina evacuees relocated to Tulsa. She has spent 27 years serving the community working with a variety of charitable and for-profit organizations.
