The winter Hypnotist Training class will be starting this Saturday, Jan 20. There is still time to register, but I need to hear from you right away.

Nancy and I went to a family reunion this past weekend, so if you called I may have missed you (sometimes the recorder is a little flakey), so please call again.

The class meets for 9 Saturdays from 8:30 till 5:00, and we start from the basic definition of hypnosis. We will start hypnotizing at the entry level on the first day, and learn techniques and theory all the way to doing basic hypnotherapy. On successfully finishing the course you will be certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists.

For anyone interested in meeting to chat about hypnotism, we will be having our quarterly NGH Oklahoma Chapter meeting in three weeks on January 28, 2018. That is the fourth Sunday of January at 2:00 PM at the Jenks Hypnosis and Training Center location. It usually lasts about two hours unless we get carried away with some topic.
We generally have some interesting characters attending, and we discuss all aspects of the profession of Hypnotist - therapy, stage, forensic, small business, how to hypnotize, history, and the occasional trance demo.
Everyone is welcome and you can call Jenks Hypnosis office with any questions or to ask for directions.

Once again it is that time of the year that schools are starting again, and ours is no exception. Starting on the Saturday after Labor Day our hypnotist certification training will start and run for nine Saturdays. Then on the following Wednesday, we will start the weekday class. Just like the Saturday class it will meet every Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Completion of either class will earn you certification as a Consulting Hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists.

Next Sunday, Oct 23, is our scheduled quarterly meeting for hypnotists in NE Oklahoma to get together and share our experiences with each other. Everyone is welcome to attend, and NGH members will qualify for 2 CEU's for the two hour meeting.

Our presentation will be from Mike Six, who recently moved to Bartlesville and is still in the process of establishing his business identity in that city. Mike will tell us about his use of hypnosis with his clients. He uses mostly Erickson and NLP style of hypnosis in his therapy, so it should be a very interesting change of pace from our mostly Elman viewpoint.

The time is rapidly approaching to start our Fall 2014 hypnotist training class. First class is on Saturday, Sept 6, and the course will continue for nine Saturdays. Please register by Aug 31.

We will start with the most basic definitions and explanations about what hypnosis is and how it works, and a model of the mind to work from. Next we will learn and practice the Dave Elman Induction, which is a very effective way to get someone into the hypnotic state. This is on the first day. From there we continue to many other aspects of hypnosis including many different ways of taking people into trance and working with it.

This course is broken into two parts, Basic and Advanced. In the Basic you will learn to become a knowledgeable hypnotist. Then, in the Advanced you will learn to use hypnosis as the tool for therapy to work with people to resolve many types of problems, including smoking, weight, stress, study enhancement, etc. As a graduate you will be certified through the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH).

We had a wonderful time at THE NATIONAL GUILD OF HYPNOTISTS convention in Marlborough, MA last weekend. It was great to see many friends that we see only once a year. There are always a lot of first timers to the meeting, and they bring in that special excitement to discover the wealth of knowledge and experience that gets shared every year. There are always new techniques to learn, and an overwhelming number of choices about which classes to attend.

We made it a cross-country trip and saw a lot of beautiful landscape. (And a lot of road construction.) But now it is back at home and back to work. Nancy scheduled quite a few clients while we were on the road, so now she is busy with clients. We like that.

One of the seminars I attended on Saturday was about the Simpson Protocol, which is a new way of solving problems using very deep hypnosis. If anyone would like to work with me in exploring this technique, let me know. This particular way of doing hypnosis shows a lot of promise.

I am looking forward to the Fourth Sunday Hypnosis group meeting tomorrow, July 27, 2014. Nancy Reno will be presenting a new metaphor she has been using that she has titled "Chains". We will also be practicing some inductions to improve our skills.

You can receive CEU credits for NGH continuing education for attending this meeting. We will meet at 2PM at Jenks Hypnosis Training Center.

Our next class will be starting on the Saturday after Labor Day, September 6. We teach the NGH curriculum and augment that with a lot of material from Elman, Kein, Esdaile, Erickson, and others who have contributed to the advancement of the Profession of Hypnosis.

Also, please note that we have a meeting of local Hypnotists on the fourth Sunday of every month. We usually have a short program and then open discussion. All are invited.

I was just thinking about when I got my original training from Jerry Kein. Nancy sent me to that training as a birthday present... one of the very best I ever received. (And my certification certificate, by coincidence, is dated on my birthday.)

If hypnotist training is, or might be, in the cards for you, perhaps it would make a good Christmas present. Class starts on January 19, and meets for 9 Saturdays.

Wow! It seems that just before Christmas is the busiest time of the year. Almost too busy to think about next year and plan for the next class, but I know that it will come whether I am ready or not.
Class starts on the third Saturday in January, 2013. Registration by the previous Saturday.

The fall class is going great!! Last week we learned instant and rapid inductions, which is probably the one lesson that is the most fun. It requires (and then builds) one's confidence to hypnotize someone in an instant.
Then, yesterday we studied the very deep state called Esdaile. My students are becoming real hypnotists.

We started the Fall class today. This first morning is all about theory of hypnosis. A little bit of a challenge to wade through, but it set us up for the afternoon... Dave Elman Induction and hypnotizing each other. Watch out world, here they come!
